Resting on two plastic side feet, the new Xiaomi TV F2 are three, differentiated more than anything else by the diagonal of the visual panel, from 43 inches (957.2 x 241.4 x 607.1 mm for 6.86 Kg + 90 grams), 50 inches (1111.2 x 309.7 x 710.1 mm for 9.1 Kg + 200 grams) and 55 inches (1225.8 x 309.7 x 777.9 mm for 11.06 Kg + 200 grams). Two USB 2.0 ports, a 3.5 mm audio jack, the CI + slot for pay-TV, two coaxial inputs for decoders for digital terrestrial and satellite (DVB-T / T2 and DVB-S2, with HEVC Main10 10-bit video transcoding and the latest offshoot of HbbTV interactive TV), and four HDMIs are located on the back of the device (basically 2.0, although one has a 2.1 function, i.e. eARC, useful to take advantage of the Dolby Atmos present in any connected soundbar). Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, and AirPlay integration for casting from Apple devices are all included in the wireless connection.

In front, between slender frames, there’s a 4K UltraHD panel (so 3,840 x 2,160 pixels) with 1.07 billion colors, 90 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, 71 percent BT2020, 10-bit color depth output (starting from 8 via FRC), 60 Hz refresh rate, 230 nits of maximum brightness, and just over 5000: 1 contrast (in 43 “), HDR in the HLG and HDR10 standards, MEMC to fluid On the audio front, Xiaomi’s F2 smart TVs include two 12W speakers with Dolby Audio, DTS-Virtual: X, and DTS-HD compatibility.

The Xiaomi TV F2’s processing core is a 1.5 GHz quadcore MediaTek MT9020 CPU with Mali-G52 MP2 graphics card (capable of handling the AV1 codec), 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of storage: Under the Smart TV interface, the operating system is Fire OS, which runs on Android 9 and supports a variety of streaming services (Netflix, YouTube, Disney +, Now, Prime Video, RaiPlay, DAZN, Mediaset Infinity, and so on), as well as voice commands for Alexa (via microphone on the remote control, which also has an infrared and alphanumeric keypad). It’s also able to access several presets for photos, including HDR (Standard, Cinema “, Sport, Game, PC) and audio (Standard, Music, Film, Clear Voice, Enhanced Bass), as well as references to live broadcasts, using the FireOS interface.

Sales have just begun on Amazon.it and mi.com: the 43 “model will cost 339 euros instead of the regular 399 euros while supplies last and for one week. During the first week of the promotion, the 50″ model will cost 379 euros instead of 449 euros, and the 55” model will cost 419 euros instead of 499 euros.
